Gonna be a wild 8 months!!

1) The pre-tournament games for the 2020-21 World Junior Championships get underway today in Edmonton. At 6 p.m. ET, Team USA will play Switzerland. At 9:30 p.m. ET, Finland will take on the Czech Republic. Both games will be televised live on NHL Network.
Bill Meltzer reported this, but I do not see it in the DTV guide.....Hmmmm

Update on Taxi squads. AHL waiver rules apply. 6 players allowed, one goalie required. Larsson return makes a bit more sense

I don’t see it listed either. They may not change the listing name but override programming?

Any info on Mathias Brome? What to expect? Another Brunner type situation?

Here’s a link to an “overseas catch up” I wrote. https://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=108734

Brome, at the time, had 20 points in 22 games (4G 16A). For whatever reason, Vancouver really wanted this kid too. I try to temper expectations. It looks like he can dish for sure. I wonder if a line with Zadina could be a really good opportunity for both. Blashill may still be trying Fabbri at center, so that could be a line (no clue if it will be). I think he’d benefit from time with Sam Gagner as well.

It's a Brunner-type situation in the sense that they're both undrafted, late-blooming wingers trying to transition into an NHL role in their mid-late 20s.

I have not seen Brome play a single minute of hockey but, from what I understand, he was generally regarded as a solid defensive forward, who recently developed more of a scoring touch in the last couple of years.

Brunner's pre-NHL scoring stats were more impressive than Brome's. His last full season in Switzerland "projected" out to like a 50ish point pace at the NHL level, compared to about 40 points for Brome. But it sounds like Brome might be a more well-rounded player who could slot into a bottom-six penalty killing sort of role more easily than Brunner could.

Obviously this is all speculation though. We'll have to wait and see how he looks out there on the NHL ice.
